RUSSIAN NATIONAL WHEELCHAIR PARA-ARCHERY TEAM WINS AT THE 2ND ROUND OF EUROPEAN CUP IN CZECH REPUBLIC
Nove Mesto, city in central Czech Republic, hosted second stage of wheelchair para-archery european cup this past week (7-13 July)
Russians confidently took 1st place in the overall standings, earning 9 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.
Czech team is concluding the tournament following Russia with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals; Italians completed the podium (1-2-2).
Especially successful were two Russian athletes, wining 3 gold medals each: Stepanida Artakhinova (Yakutia) and Bair Shugaev (Republic of Buryatia).
Three other Russians, Anton Zyapaev (Sverdlovsk oblast), Svetlana Barantseva (Krasnodar krai) and Bato Tsydendorzhiev (Zabaykalsky krai), each twice celebrated victories.
Elena Krutova, from Moscow oblast, was not as successful as her teammates from Eastern Russia, earning 1 medal of each type.
Some satisfactory results were presented by 5 other Russians: 4 gold medalists—Marina Lyzhnikova(Moscow), Badma Khamindaev (Byryatia), Nail Gatin (Moscow oblast) and Ruslan Ochur (Tyva); and 1 bronze—Denis Ten from Khabarovsk krai.
