The Russian Paralympic Committee team will participate in the Grand Prix in athletics in Morocco

From April 19 to 26, the Grand Prix stage in Paralympic athletics will take place in Rabat, Morocco. The medal battles will be led by the Russian Paralympic team, which includes 7 athletes with physical impairments: Abukhakir Daukaev (Republic of Dagestan, class F52), Anton Fedulov (Tver Oblast, class F53), Dmitry Gorbachev (Moscow, class T36), Darya Ivanova (Irkutsk Oblast, class F35), Kazim Omarov (Republic of Dagestan, class F53), Nargiza Safarova (Rostov Oblast, class F32), and Evgenia Vysotskaya (Belgorod Oblast, class T36).

Competition days are April 23, 24, and 25.

Athletics is one of the most popular and medaled sports in the Paralympic movement. The competition includes running and technical events for athletes with various types of impairments (physical impairment, visual impairment, and intellectual impairments). At the XVII Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, Russian track and field athletes ranked 2nd in the unofficial medal table, winning 27 medals: 11 gold, 6 silver, and 10 bronze.
