On September 25, international taekwondo competitions were held in Londrina (Brazil)
Based on the results of the performance, the Russian national para-taekwondo team won 9 medals – 2 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze.
Elena Savinskaya took the top step of the podium in the over 65 kg category, and Aliaskhab Ramazanov became the winner in the over 80 kg category.
Silver awards were won by Dzhetsun-Sholban Kara-ool in the 47 kg category, Askhat Akmatov in the 58 kg category, Diana Abubzyarova in the 65 kg category, and Bilal Yakhyaev in the over 80 kg category.
Bronze medalists were Maria Fisenko in the 52 kg category, Daniil Sidorov in the 63 kg category, and Evgeny Alifirenko in the 70 kg category.
Also, Elena Savinskaya was awarded the prize "Best Athlete of the Tournament."

Para-taekwondo was included in the program of the XVI Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo (Japan). The competition rules, technique, competition area, and athletes' belts are the same as in Olympic taekwondo. The only difference is that strikes to the head are prohibited. At the XVII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris (France), Russian athletes won 1 silver medal. Aliaskhab Ramazanov rose to the podium.
