07 May 2026

From May 5 to 7, the international para table tennis competition for athletes with physical impairments, the "ITTF World Para Challenger Lasko 2026," took place in Lasko, Slovenia.

Nadezhda Pushpasheva (Udmurt Republic), a bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, participated in the competition.

Nadezhda won a bronze medal in the women's singles class 2.

Nadezhda Pushpasheva will also compete at the "ITTF World Para Elite Lasko 2026" international competition, which will be held in Lasko from May 11 to 15.

The Russian Paralympic Committee congratulates Nadezhda and her coaches on this well-deserved award and wishes them continued success in future competitions!

Table tennis was first included in the program of the 1960 Summer Paralympics. Athletes with physical and intellectual impairments compete in two categories: wheelchair players (classes 1–5) and standing players (classes 6–10). Men and women compete in singles, doubles, and team events. The Paralympic program includes singles and doubles competitions. A match consists of five games, each played to 11 points, and the winner is the athlete or pair who wins three out of five games. At the XVII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, France, Russian table tennis players won silver and bronze medals.
