International amputee football matches among combat veterans held in St. Petersburg
From September 2 to 6, the Russian Paralympic Committee, with the support of the Ministry of Sport of Russia, the Russian Sports Fund, the Russian Football Union, and the charitable program "DobroFON," held International Match Meetings in amputee football among combat veterans in St. Petersburg.
Following the final match, the winner of the competition was the Egyptian team, which defeated the Russian team with a score of 3:0.
In the bronze medal match, the footballers from the Cameroon team proved stronger, defeating the Central African Republic with a score of 5:2.
The award ceremony was attended by Ivan Potekhin, Vice-President of the Russian Paralympic Committee and Paralympic champion; Pavel Mushikhin, Project Manager of the charitable program DobroFON; Igor Prin, Deputy Director of the Department for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility of the Russian Football Union; Sergey Gutnikov, member of the Board of the All-Russian Federation of Sports LIN and President of the Sports Federation for the Disabled of St. Petersburg; Songa Bidjocka Etienne, Secretary General of the Cameroonian Paralympic Committee; and others.
