The Russian delegation of athletes and athletes' personnel took part in the closing ceremony of the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang (Republic of Korea)
As part of the delegation, 3-time champion and 2-time silver medalist of the Paralympic Games of 2018 Ekaterina Rumyantseva, 2-time champion, 3-time silver and bronze medalist of the Paralympic Games of 2018 Mikhalina Lysova (athlete-guide Alexei Ivanov), silver and 2-time bronze medalist of the Paralympic Games in 2018 Martha Zainullina, senior coach of the Russian national team in alpine skiing of sports for persons with Physical Impairment, Honored coach of Russia Alexander Nazarov, senior coach of the Russian national team in Biathlon of sports for persons with Physical Impairment, Honored Coach of Russia Andrey Gladyshev, head coach of the Russian national team in cross country skiing and biathlon of blind sports, Honored coach of Russia Alexei Kopitin and others.
The IPC flag was carried by a volunteer, representative of the Republic of Korea.
During the closing ceremony of the Games, the IPC President Andrew Parsons announced the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang to be closed.
At the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang (Republic of Korea), the Russian delegation consisted of 75 people, 30 of them athletes and 6 athletes-guides. At the Pyeongchan-2018, 80 sets of medals were played. This is 8 sets of awards more than the previous 2014 Paralympic Games in Sochi. The increase in medal disciplines took place in snowboard, in Pyeongchang-2018, 10 sets were played in this sport (including 6 men's in three classes and 4 women's in two classes), for comparison at the 2014 Paralympic Games in Sochi, 2 sets (1 male and 1 female).
