RUSSIAN PARA CYCLIST SERGEI PUDOV CAN STILL HOPE FOR WINNING THE WORLD CUP TOUR
05 August 2019
Baie-Comeau (Canada) is about to host a final tour of UCI Para-cycling World Cup from August 8 to 11.
Russia will be represented by one athlete—Sergei Pudov (Udmurtia), who will compete in lower limb impairment category (MC4). As of now, Sergei is standing 3rd in overall rankings, 26 points behind Italian Michele Pittacolo, who is 2 points ahead of Slovakian Patrik Kuril himself.
Sergei has two more races (time trial on August 9 and race on August 11) not to just reach, but to overcome both cyclers. Each race gives 30, 26 and 22 points, according to podium placement respectively. Practically, there are no chances for Russian to take the trophy; however, theoretically, he can still become first.
We wish Sergei outstanding performance and best luck in Canada!
