WINNERS AND MEDALISTS OF RUSSIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND BIATHLON
Winners and medalists of Russian championships in cross-country skiing and biathlon of PI athletes.
From March 26 to April 2 All-Russian Federation of Sports of Persons with PI in Peresvet (Moscow Region) held the championship of Russia in cross-country skiing and biathlon.
The championship was attended by 36 athletes from 17 regions of Russia, and 27 boys and girls from 10 regions of the country competed in the national youth championship.
On March 28 and 29, the cross-country skiing competitions took place. The medals in biathlon were awarded on March 31 and April 1.
Winners
Ivan Golubkov (Moscow/Republic of Komi, sitting category) and Ekaterina Rumyantseva (Moscow, standing category) were twice on the top step of the podium.
Irina Gulyaeva (Moscow, sitting category) and Vladislav Lekomtsev (Udmurtia Republic, standing category) also became Russian champions in the middle-distance freestyle race.
In sprint Rushan Minnegulov (Republic of Tatarstan, standing category) and Natalia Kocherova (Moscow, sitting category) took the first place.
Results of Russian Championship
Evgeny Chernyi (Moscow, sitting category), Valentina Perenosova (Udmurtia Republic, sitting category) and Vladimir Chaynikov (Udmurtia Republic, standing category) won 2 gold medals each.
Milana Baranova (Sverdlovsk Region) won the gold medal in the girls' freestyle standing race. Veronika Putilova (Perm Region) got on the top step of the podium in sprint.
Biathlon competitions
Two sets of medals were won in the biathlon: the middle-distance and long-distance races with 4 shooting ranges.
Danila Britik (Moscow, sitting category) and Ekaterina Rumyantseva (Moscow, standing category) each won 2 gold medals.
Irina Gulyaeva (Moscow, sitting category) and Vladislav Lekomtsev (Udmurtia Republic, standing category) were on the top step of the podium in the middle distance races.
Natalia Kocherova (Moscow, sitting category) and Ivan Kodlozerov (Arkhangelsk region, standing category) took the first place in long-distance races.

Vladimir Chaynikov (Udmurtia Republic, standing category), Veronica Putilova (Perm Region, standing category), Evgeny Cherny (Moscow city, sitting category) and Valentina Perenosova (Udmurtia Republic, sitting category) were awarded 2 gold medals each.
