VACCINATED ATHLETES AND COACHES WILL RECEIVE ACCESS TO FEDERAL BASES WITHOUT QUARANTINE AND TESTING

12 March 2021

The Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation has made changes to the Temporary Procedure for organizing and conducting training events at federal sports bases that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Sports of Russia.

Now athletes and coaches, as well as specialists and personnel of the bases will have access to the training process and perform official duties without additional requirements if they have a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 (with the administration of the second component of the vaccine more than 14 days ago).

Also, without additional requirements for the training process and the performance of official duties, those who have a documented protective level of class G antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 will be able to start. A certificate with a confirmed level of class G antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 should be no more than 30 days old.

Those who do not meet these conditions will receive access to federal sports bases in accordance with the requirements previously approved by the Temporary Order for the Organization and Conduct of Training Events. After arriving at the bases, athletes, coaches, specialists and personnel are required to isolate themselves in single accommodation, excluding the possibility of direct contact with other people. In order to get started, they need to pass two negative tests for coronavirus infection.
