THE XXVII DISABLED SPORT FESTIVAL OF THE PERM TERRITOTY HELD IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE OPENING OF THE XI REGIONAL PARALYMPIC SPORTS FESTIVAL UNDER THE MOTTO: “ONLY FORWARD! ONLY FOR VICTORY!"

06 March 2021 in the city of Perm in the Sports Complex named after V.P. Sukharev hosted the XXVII Sports Festival of Disabled Persons in the Perm Territory within the framework of the Opening of the XI Regional Paralympic Sports Festival under the motto: “Only forward! Only to victory!" (Stage I).

The competition was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Russian Paralympic Committee and the 15th anniversary of the regional branch of the Russian Paralympic Committee in the Perm Territory.

Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Perm Territory Marina Zinner, Deputy Head of the Perm City Administration Alexei Gribanov, Chairman of the Perm Regional Organization of the All-Russian Society of Disabled People Nadezhda Romanova, member of the Executive Committee of the RPC, Chairman of the Regional Department of the RPC in the Perm Region Alexander Ivonin, as well as representatives of sports federations, winners of the Paralympic Games, sports veterans, representatives of the parliamentary corps, legislative and executive authorities, representatives of the public.

The Perm Territory Sports Festival has been held annually since 1995 - this year already 27 times. The organizers of the Parafest were the regional branch of the RPC in the Perm Territory, the regional branch of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments in the Perm Territory with the support of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Perm Territory, the Sports-Adaptive School of the Paralympic Reserve, the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports under the administration of the city of Perm.

The Parafest was attended by 430 people with physical impairments, visual impairments, hearing disorders, general disease and cerebral palsy. The sports program included wheelchair races, boccia, running 60 meters, darts, kettlebell lifting, standing long jump, dynamometry, draughts, chess, archery.

To raise the strength of the spirit, sports passion and festive mood, a concert of creative teams was organized and animators worked.

Winners and prize-winners in each discipline were awarded a medal, diploma and a valuable prize - in total, more than 200 prize-winners of the competition were awarded. 20 people were awarded in sports nominations.

An exhibition of the development of the Paralympic Movement and Parafestivals in the Perm Territory was traditionally organized.

The next, second stage of the XI Regional Sports Festival, will take place on April 14, 2021 - it will be a Swimming Sports Festival among the disabled of the Perm Territory.
