The Russian Paralympic Committee congratulates Thomas Bach on reelection to the post of the International Olympic Committee President.
At the 137th session of the International Olympic Committee, IOC President Thomas Bach was re-elected for a second four-year term.
Thomas Bach, who won gold medal for the German foil fencing team at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, was elected IOC President at the 2013 IOC session in Buenos Aires for his first eight-year term. His second term as IOC President will begin immediately thereafter and will end in 2025.
The Russian Paralympic Committee sent congratulations to Thomas Bach in connection with his re-election. The letter reads as follows:
“You have always been a great supporter and friend of the Paralympic Movement. We have witnessed your efforts to develop the partnership between the IPC and the IOC, and we hope that they will become even stronger in the future.
We are also grateful for your efforts to cope with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
Once again, let us congratulate you on your success."
