Senior coach of the Russian National Para Alpine Skiing Team among PI Athletes, Honored coach of Russia Alexander Nazarov:
“The championship was held at a high organizational level. It is worth noting the quality and level of preparation of the track. Track met all the highest international standards.
In recent years, Sakhalin has been our place and base where we prepare for the largest competitions. Here we held the final camp before the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, and we intend to hold the camp ahead of the upcoming 2022 Winter Paralympics in Beijing.
As for the Russian championship, unfortunately, not all athletes were able to take part in it. According to preliminary information, 30 athletes from 12 regions had to fight for the medals. Nevertheless, almost all of the country's leading athletes took part.
Among women, young athletes Taisya Foryash born in 2005 and Daria Ishchenko born in 2006 looked good, who showed good results.
Among men I would like to mention Alexey Bugaev and Alexander Alyabyev, who showed stable and high results throughout the championship. Also, Ivan Vasiliev from St. Petersburg, born in 2006, performed well. He took the fourth place twice."
