THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL TEAM WON 17 GOLD, 10 SILVER AND 15 BRONZE MEDALS IN FIVE DAYS OF THE WORLD CUP IN PARA CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND BIATHLON IN SLOVENIA
In the city of Planica (Slovenia) from February 28 to March 10, a stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing and biathlon among athletes with musculoskeletal disorders and visual impairments is being held.
Following the results of five competitive days, the Russian National Team won 17 gold, 10 silver and 15 bronze medals and is still leading the intermediate medal standings.
The Ukrainian team is in second place with 5 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze medals.
On the fifth day of the competition, individual biathlon races took place, which brought the Russian team 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Among men with visual impairments, Russian skiers took the entire podium.
Tyumen skiers Nikolai Polukhin with a guide Eduard Berezin and Stanislav Chokhlaev with Oleg Kolodiychuk won gold and silver, respectively. The representative of the Perm Territory Vladimir Khairullin with the host Dmitry Gorshkov won bronze.
Vera Khlyzova, a Tyumen skier, with the leading sportsman Natalya Yakimova won gold among women.
Vladislav Lekomtsev from the Udmurt Republic again rose to the top step of the podium. Alexander Pronkov from Moscow won a silver medal.
In the sitting category, Ivan Golubkov (Moscow / Komi Republic) took the lead, Alexander Davidovich from the Republic of Tatarstan won the bronze medal. Marta Zainullina (Republic of Tatarstan) won the bronze medal among women.
