THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL TEAM WON 13 GOLD, 8 SILVER AND 12 BRONZE MEDALS AT THE END OF FOUR DAYS OF THE WORLD CUP IN PARALYMPIC CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND BIATHLON IN SLOVENIA

In Planica (Slovenia), from February 28 to March 10, the World Cup in Cross-Country skiing and biathlon is held among athletes with physical and visual impairment.

At the end of four days of competition, the Russian national team won 13 gold, 8 silver and 12 bronze medals and still leads the intermediate medal standings.

In the second place of the medal standings with 4 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze medals, the national team of Ukraine.

On the fourth day of the competition, the middle-distance cross-country skiing took place, which brought the Russian team 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Among men with visual impairment, Tyumen skiers Stanislav Chokhlaev with guide Oleg Kolodiychuk and Nikolai Polukhin with Eduard Berezin again took the lead, winning gold and silver awards, respectively.

Among women with visual impairment, gold medals were won by representatives of the Tyumen region - Vera Khlyzova with the athlete-presenter Natalia Yakimova. Anna Panferova (Tula region) and Andrey Zhukov won the silver medal.

In the men's standing category, Vladislav Lekomtsev from the Udmurt Republic won his fourth gold medal at the World Cup. Rushan Minnegulov (Republic of Tatarstan) won the bronze medal.

In the sitting category, Ivan Golubkov (Moscow/Komi Republic) became the winner of the competition among men, Alexander Davidovich from the Republic of Tatarstan became the bronze medalist. Marta Zainullina (Republic of Tatarstan) again won the bronze medal among women in the sitting category.

On March 9 and 10, the winners of the individual races and the sprint in biathlon will be determined.
