THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL TEAM WON 12 GOLD, 15 SILVER AND 15 BRONZE MEDALS AT THE IPC CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING AND BIATHLON WORLD CUP STAGE IN FINLAND

Finnish Vuokatti hosts the final stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing and biathlon of the International Paralympic Committee for the sports season 2020/2021.

In the first four days of the competition, medals were awarded in cross-country skiing. On March 19, races were held at the middle distance, on March 20 - in the sprint, on March 22 - at a long distance, and on March 23 - at a short distance.

The Russian national team won 42 medals - 12 gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze medals and confidently headed the intermediate medal standings.

The Norwegian team is in second place with 4 gold medals.

Vladislav Lekomtsev (Udmurt Republic) and Marta Zainullina (Republic of Tatarstan) won 4 gold medals each.

Ivan Golubkov (Moscow / Komi Republic) became a 3-time winner and a silver medalist.

The representative of the Tyumen region Stanislav Chokhlaev with the guide Oleg Kolodiychuk won 3 medals - 1 gold and 2 silver.

Rushan Minnegulov from the Republic of Tatarstan rose to the second step of the podium 4 times. Muscovite Natalya Kocherova won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Ekaterina Rumyantseva (Moscow) became a 2-time silver and bronze medalist of the competition. Irina Gulyaeva (Moscow) won 2 silver medals.

Vera Khlyzova (Tyumen Oblast, presenter Natalya Yakimova) and Anna Panferova (Tula Oblast, host Andrei Zhukov) won one silver and two bronze medals each.

Alexander Davidovich (Republic of Bashkortostan) and Vitaly Malyshev (Moscow region) became three-time bronze medalists.

Danila Britik (Moscow) and Ivan Kodlozerov (Arkhangelsk Region) won one bronze medal each.

Further, at the stage of the World Cup, medals in biathlon will be played. Sprint will take place on March 25, and individual races will take place on March 26.
