THE RPC LEADERS TOOK PART VIA VIDEO CONFERENCE CALL IN THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE ALL-RUSSIAN FEDERATION OF SPORTS FOR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS.

A meeting of the Council of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments was held in the video-conference mode under the chairmanship of the President of the Federation, Secretary General of the Russian Paralympic Committee, 5-time champion of the Paralympic Games Andrei Strokin.

The members of the Council considered 6 issues on the agenda.

Chairperson of the Governing Board, First Vice-President of the RPC, First Vice-President of the Federation Pavel Rozhkov reported on the implementation by the members of the RPC of the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport dated December 17, 2020 and the revised post-reinstatement criteria of the Russian Paralympic Committee, published by the International Paralympic Committee on February 8, 2021.

In his speech, he noted:

“We have already repeatedly discussed the decision of the CAS court, which was published in December 2020, and the revised post-reinstatement criteria of the Russian Paralympic Committee. They stipulate that representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation - employees of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, members of the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation should not be members of the governing bodies, permanent committees and commissions of the Paralympic Committee of Russia and its members.

The All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments is a member of the Russian Paralympic Committee. "

On this issue on the agenda, the members of the Council decided to satisfy the personal statement of the deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the VI and VII convocations, Boris Ivanyuzhenkov, on the voluntary resignation of his powers as chairman of the Federation Council of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments.

The duties of the Chairman of the Council are assigned to the President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, 5-time champion of the Paralympic Games Andrei Strokin.

The statement on the resignation of the chairman of the Stavropol regional public organization Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the VII convocation - Elena Bondarenko was also satisfied.

The members of the Council agreed on the state accreditation of sports for persons with physical impairments of the regional public organization "Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments of the Republic of Tyva" (Chairman - Oyun Alesya Kyzyl-Oolovna).

At the meeting, a Commission was created to formulate proposals for the Unified Schedule of Interregional, All-Russian and International Physical Culture Events and Sports Events of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. Honorary Vice-President of the RPC, Honorary President of the Federation Lev Seleznev was elected Chairman of the Commission.

The members of the Council agreed to hold a meeting of the Commission for attestation of the head and senior coaches of the sports national teams of Russia in the winter sports disciplines of persons with physical impairments (headed by Pavel Rozhkov). The meeting is scheduled for April 15, 2021.

A number of issues related to the activities of the Federation were also considered.
