THE RPC INVITES MANUFACTURERS AND SUPPLIERS OF SPORTSWEAR TO BECOME THE OFFICIAL EQUIPMENT OF THE RUSSIAN PARALYMPIC DELEGATION AT THE XIII PARALYMPIC WINTER GAMES 2022 IN BEIJING (CHINA)

10 February 2021

The Russian Paralympic Committee invites manufacturers and suppliers of sportswear to become the official equipment of the Russian Paralympic Delegation at the XIII Paralympic Winter Games 2022 in Beijing (China).

For more than fifteen years, Russian athletes at the Winter Paralympic Games have traditionally been among the leaders of the international Paralympic movement. At two Winter Paralympics, our athletes became winners in the unofficial team competition, and at the last Paralympics, held in 2018 in PyeongChang, South Korea, despite the truncated composition due to sanctions imposed by the International Paralympic Committee, they took second place.

Currently, most of the sanctions have been lifted. Russian athletes are actively preparing for the upcoming 2022 Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing. It is planned that the Russian delegation to PI-2022 will include about 180 people, including 70 athletes and 20 leaders for visually impaired athletes who will take part in competitions in cross - country skiing, biathlon, alpine skiing, snowboarding, wheelchair curling and sledge hockey.

The Russian national team will be represented by such famous athletes as six-time Paralympic champion in cross-country skiing and biathlon Mikhalina Lysova, three-time Paralympic champion in cross-country skiing and biathlon Ekaterina Rumyantseva, three-time Paralympic champion in alpine skiing Alexey Bugaev, two-time Paralympic champion in cross-country skiing and biathlon Vladislav Lekomtsev, winner of the Crystal Globe in the overall World Cup standings of the season 2020-2021 Ivan Golubkov, The 2020 world champions are the wheelchair curling team and many other top athletes in the world.

The Russian national team plans to perform well at the Paralympic Games and show a decent result. There are all the prerequisites for this. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, difficulties have arisen in the implementation of the preparation process for the most important competitions of our time.

Therefore, we, as always, count on the help of caring people who are ready to support athletes with disabilities who are struggling not only with competitors, but also with the difficulties associated with their physical disabilities. Your contribution to a good cause will be invaluable.

Standing at the top of the podium and proudly raising their heads in high-quality and stylish equipment, our athletes will bring a sense of patriotism to all citizens of our country, as well as glorify Russia in the world sports community.
