THE RPC AND THE ALL-RUSSIAN FEDERATION OF SPORTS FOR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS IN ST. ST. PETERSBURG HELD A SEMINAR ON PREPARATION OF CLASSIFIERS ON THE TOPIC: "SPORTS-FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF ATHLETES WITH PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS IN WHEELCHAIR D

On May 5-9, 2022 in St. Petersburg the Russian Paralympic Committee and the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments in cooperation with the Russian Federation of Wheelchair Dancing took place the All-Russian seminar on preparation of the qualifiers in wheelchair dancing "Sports and functional classification of wheelchair dancers".
The seminar was attended by 16 coaches and specialists from Udmurt Republic, Lipetsk region, Moscow, Republic of Tatarstan, Perm region, Sverdlovsk region, Saint-Petersburg and Tyumen region.
The seminar was conducted by Guzel Idrisova, Candidate of Medical Science, the head of Anti-doping, medical and scientific-methodical support department of the RPC staff, the main classifier of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, international classifier on Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments.
Seminar Program consisted of theoretical and practical classes on how to do the classification and determination of sports classes, which allowed seminar participants to acquire not only knowledge but also practical experience in the classification of athletes. Totally 32 sportsmen - participants of the Russian Championship 2022 on wheelchair dancing for people with physical impairments were classified and the sports class of the sportsmen was determined.
All participants received Certificates of the RPC with the right to classify athletes with wheelchair physical impairments in wheelchair dance after they successfully passed the test.
On May 9, 2022 due to high interest in the sports classification of wheelchair dancers to the participants of the championship of Russia Guzel Idrisova held an additional educational seminar on "Introduction of sports classification of athletes with impaired musculoskeletal system in wheelchair dance". 36 coaches, specialists, representatives of the national teams from 16 regions of the Russian Federation took part in this seminar.
