The Paralympic Committee held a Paralympic lesson and masterclasses to mark the 10th anniversary of the XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi for children with disabilities from the Krasnodar Region
On 7 March 2024, the Russian Paralympic Committee in Sochi at the Russian International Olympic University with the support of the Sochi City Administration held a Paralympic lesson and master classes to mark the 10th anniversary of the XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi for 100 children with disabilities from the Krasnodar region.
Speakers of the Paralympic lesson were Pavel Rozhkov, President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Honoured Coach of Russia, Irina Gromova, senior coach of the Russian national cross-country skiing and biathlon team, Honoured Coach of Russia, 6-time champion, 8-time silver and 3-time bronze medallist of the Paralympic Games Michalina Lysova, Paralympic Games champion Alexander Pronkov, member of the Russian national wheelchair curling team Alexander Ermolov, coach of the Sochi ice hockey team Dmitry Efimova and team captain Pavel Kovalkin.
In the practical part of the event, the children were able to talk, take pictures, get autographs from the titled Paralympians and their coaches, as well as try their hand at master classes in wheelchair curling, sledge hockey and biathlon under the guidance of experienced coaches and receive memorable gifts
