TASS: THE WORLD PARA ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED
MOSCOW, January 15. /TASS/. The World Para Athletics Championship, which was to be held in Kobe, Japan, in 2022, has been cancelled. Pavel Rozhkov, acting president of the Russian Paralympic Committee, told TASS.
"The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) informed the Russian Paralympic Committee about the cancellation of this year's World Para Athletics Championship. The competition was to be held in Kobe, Japan, and was to be a qualifying event for the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris," Rozhkov said.
"Currently, the organizing committee of the World Championships and the IPC are working on the issue of moving the competition to 2024," he added.
