TASS: THE OUTFIT OF THE RUSSIAN DELEGATION AT THE PARALYMPIC GAMES IN TOKYO AGREED
MOSCOW, March 7. / TASS /. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has approved the sketches of the outfit in which the Russian delegation will take part in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Pavel Rozhkov, first vice-president of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC), head of the delegation at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, told TASS.
"The IPC has agreed to us the sketches of the outfit of Russian athletes at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. They fully comply with the requirements set forth in the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in the case of WADA [World Anti-Doping Agency] against RUSADA [Russian Anti-Doping Agency]. The outfit will contain the colors of the Russian tricolor," Rozhkov: From the identification elements there will be an inscription “Neutral sportsman from Russia”.
"The approved sketches have already been sent to our partner and outfitter - Forward. I think that soon we will present a ready-made version of outfit to the public," said Rozhkov. "Currently, the issue of the symbols, flag and musical accompaniment of the Russian delegation at the Paralympic Games is being resolved."
According to the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Russian athletes are deprived of the opportunity to compete under the flag and anthem of their country at the World Championships, Olympic and Paralympic Games until December 16, 2022. Paralympics in Tokyo will be held from August 24 to September 5.
