TASS: ROZHKOV TALKS ABOUT PLANS TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT "SPORTS LEGACY - HEALTHY COUNTRY"
The project will be held in the form of individual online competitions and mass regional sports events.
MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. The all-Russian project "Sport Legacy - Healthy Country", which will unite citizens of 43 subjects of the Russian Federation, will be implemented again in 2022. The chairman of the All-Russian Trade Union of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism Workers of the Russian Federation and President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Pavel Rozhkov told TASS.
The project is carried out jointly with the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation within the framework of the federal project "Sport - the norm of life".
"In 2022 Profsporttour of the Russian Federation will implement the All-Russian project "Sport Legacy - healthy country" again. Like last year, the project will be held in two stages - in the form of individual online competitions and sports and mass regional events. It is an actual and popular form, which allows to involve many citizens of our country to sports. If last year about 5,000 people took part in the project, this year we intend to increase this figure considerably," Rozhkov said.
The first stage of the project will take place from July 1 to September 30. It will be held in the format of individual online competitions. Participants will get points for completing certain exercises. At the end of the first stage, the winners of the personal and subject-specific tests will be determined, and they will receive valuable prizes.
"On September 1 we will start the second stage which will be held in the format of mass municipal and regional sporting events. For their implementation we will send to the subjects of the Russian Federation sports equipment and gear, as well as souvenir products for all participants," Rozhkov added.
