TASS: Pavel Rozhkov appointed as Chief de Mission for 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games
MOSCOW, March 30. / TASS / Pavel Rozhkov, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC), RPC First Vice-president, was appointed as the Chief de Mission of the Paralympic delegation at the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games.
The decision was made on Tuesday at a meeting of the RPC Governing Board.
Since 2004, Pavel Rozhkov has been the all-time head of the RPC Working groups for the preparation of Russian national teams for the Paralympic Games. He was the Chief de Mission at three summer Paralympics - in Athens (2004), Beijing (2008) and London (2012), as well as at three winter Paralympics - in Torino (2006), Vancouver (2010) and Sochi (2014).
Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing will be held from 4 to 13 March 2022. Up to 736 athletes will take part there, who will compete for 78 sets of medals in para alpine skiing, para ice hockey, para cross-country skiing, para biathlon, para snowboarding and wheelchair curling.
