RUSSIAN PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE INVITES TO JOIN CELEBRATION OF PURE SPORT DAY
Every April, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the international sports community celebrate Play True Day to remind people of the importance of fair, doping-free competition.
Play True Day has been celebrated since 2014. In 2020, the audience of the online campaign, which was attended by stakeholders and organizations from around the world, reached more than 50 million people.
The Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC), as part of the celebration of the "Play True Day 2020", took part in the RUSADA International Online Marathon. Live broadcasts of the marathon covered five continents, and eminent athletes, representatives of international and national sports federations, anti-doping agencies and constituent entities of the Russian Federation also became guests of the broadcast.
In 2021, Play True Day will be held on April 9.
This year's theme is "What does pure sport mean to you?"
The Russian Paralympic Committee joins the celebration of the Play True Day and calls on athletes, coaches, sports federations, organizers of major events and all those who are not indifferent to sports to take part in the international action.
On the eve of the holiday and directly on April 9, share your materials about fair play and the fight against doping on social networks using the hashtags #PlayTrue and #PlayTrueDay, and also mark the Russian Paralympic Committee in your publications - @russianparalymp
