Russian National Team won 5 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals of the World Cup in Para Cross-Country Skiing and Biathlon in Slovenia
In the city of Planica (Slovenia) from February 28 to March 10, a stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing and biathlon among athletes with Physical and Visual impairments is held.
Following the results of two competitive days, the Russian National Team won 5 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals and is still leading the intermediate medal standings.
The second place in the medal standings with three gold medals took the Austrian team.
On the second day of the competition, ski sprint races took place, which brought the Russian National Team 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Among men with visual impairments, the winners were the Tyumen skiers Stanislav Chokhlaev with the guide Oleg Kolodiychuk, the bronze medal was also won by the representatives of the Tyumen region Nikolai Polukhin with the presenter Eduard Berezin.
In the men's standing category, Vladislav Lekomtsev from the Udmurt Republic again took the lead, while Rushan Minnegulov from the Republic of Tatarstan won bronze medal.
In the sitting category for men, Ivan Golubkov (Moscow / Komi Republic) became the winner of the competition, and among women Marta Zainullina (Republic of Tatarstan) won a silver medal.
Among women with visual impairments, Russians won silver and bronze medals. Anna Panferova with the guide Andrey Zhukov (Tula region) and Vera Khlyzova with Natalia Yakimova, respectively, rose to the podium.
On March 6, a set of medals will be played in biathlon at the middle distance, and on March 7 - in cross-country skiing at the middle distance. On March 9 and 10, the winners of the individual races and the sprint in biathlon will be determined.
