RUSSIAN NATIONAL TEAM WON 2 GOLD, 3 SILVER AND 4 BRONZE MEDALS AT THE IPC PARA ATHLETICS GRAND PRIX IN TUNISIA
The Grand Prix of the International Paralympic Committee in Para Athletics ended in Tunisia.
The competition took place from 18 to 20 March. 479 athletes from 59 countries took part in the competition.
The Russian National Team was represented by 14 athletes: 7 - with physical impairments and 7 - with visual impairments.
As a result of the Grand Prix, the Russians won 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.
The winners of the competition were David Dzhatiev (RNO-Alania) in the 200m race among athletes of the T35 / 36/44 class (PI) and Anton Kulyatin (Novosibirsk region) in the 1500m race in the T12 class (VI).
Athletes with visual impairments from the Chelyabinsk Region, Yegor Gostinsky and Alexander Novichikhin, climbed to the second step of the podium in the 100-meter races in classes T13 and T11, respectively. Ivan Revenko from Krasnodar Territory won silver in javelin throw in the F53 / 54/55/56 class (PODA).
Alexey Labzin from the Republic of Bashkortostan won two bronze medals in the 100-meter sprint and long jump among athletes of the T13 class (sports of the blind). One bronze medal each - Vasily Zaitsev (Moscow) in shot put in the F35 / 36 class (PADA) and Alexander Shirin (Chelyabinsk region) in the 400 meters race in the T13 class (sports of the blind).
The next International Paralympic Committee Para Athletics Grand Prix is scheduled for April 16-18 in Italy.
