Russian National Para Swimming Team won 25 gold, 26 silver and 32 bronze medals and took the third place in medal standings at the IPC Para Swimming European Open Championships in Madeira

The IPC European Open Championship in Para Swimming has ended in Portugal.

As a result of the competition, Russian swimmers won 83 medals - 25 gold, 26 silver and 32 bronze and took third place in the medal standings.

The winner of the medal standings was the Italian national team with 34 gold, 26 silver and 20 bronze medals. The Ukrainian team is in second place - 33 gold, 32 silver and 28 bronze medals.

As part of the Russian National Team, the best result was shown by Victoria Ischiulova (Orenburg region). Victoria has 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals on her account.

The representative of the city of Moscow Daria Pikalova became the owner of 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals.

Roman Zhdanov from the Altai Territory won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals of the European championship.

A total of 37 Russian athletes climbed the podium, and 16 won gold medals.

On the final day of the competition, the Russians won 3 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Andrey Kalina (St. Petersburg), Victoria Ischulova (Orenburg region) and Andrey Granichka (Sevastopol) climbed to the top step of the podium.

Silver medals were won by Denis Tarasov (Saratov region) and Daria Pikalova (Moscow).

Adelina Razetdinova (Republic of Bashkortostan), Sergey Sukharev (Samara region), Bogdan Mozgovoy (Republic of Bashkortostan), Mikhail Kulyabin (Kirov region), as well as Sergey Sukharev (Samara region), Denis Tarasov (Saratov region), Alexander Skaliukh (Rostov Region) and Bogdan Mozgovoy (Republic of Bashkortostan) in the 4 x 100 freestyle relay (34 points) took the third place.
