"Flight of the RPC teams athletes to the Paralympic Games in Beijing will be carried out by two charter flights. The first flight with athletes will land in the capital of the Games on February 25. It will carry alpine skiing and snowboard teams from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, who will be joined by sledge hockey players in Vladivostok. On March 1 the second charter will arrive - nordic skiing and biathlon teams, as well as wheelchair curling. The flight will depart from Italian Verona to Beijing with a landing in Novosibirsk," Rozhkov said.

"The first group of administrative staff of the RPC team will arrive in the capital of the Games on February 23. Before the main part of the delegation arrives, they will check and prepare places of accommodation of the team, receive cars and equipment from the Organizing Committee of the Games, prepare medical centers of FMBA of Russia and the team headquarters for work in the Paralympic villages. The official opening of the three Paralympic Villages (Zhangjiakou, Yanqing and Beijing), as well as the arrival of officials and staff of athletes will take place on February 25," he added.

"When sending teams to qualifying competitions for the Games and the final training events, we have invaluable support from Sheremetyevo International Airport and the company "Aeroflot". In such a difficult epidemiological situation they create all conditions to ensure safety and preserve health of our athletes, as well as assist in solving technical issues related to the transportation of abnormal luggage and sports equipment," Rozhkov noted.
