RIA NEWS: PAVEL ROZHKOV WILL BE THE ONLY CANDIDATE FOR THE ELECTION OF THE RPC PRESIDENT
MOSCOW, 22 March - RIA Novosti, Oleg Bogatov. The Acting President of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) Pavel Rozhkov will be a candidate without any alternatives at the forthcoming election of the head of the organization, the RIA Novosti Press Service of the RPC reported.
The election conference of the RPC will be held on March 25 in Podolsk. The chairman of the RPC Governing Board, Honored Coach of Russia Rozhkov has been acting head of the organization since March 2021.
"In accordance with the Charter of the RPC, the nomination of candidates for the highest governing elective bodies of the RPC is terminated 20 days before the day of the conference. For the post of President 54 regional branches and 22 members of the RPC - legal entities including all-Russian and regional sports federations developing Paralympic sports, the only candidate - Rozhkov Pavel Alekseevich was nominated", - the interlocutor said.
There is also one candidate for the post of Secretary General of the Russian Paralympic Committee, the current five-time Paralympic champion Andrey Strokin.
