PAVEL ROZHKOV MET WITH VLADIMIR ESHEEV, PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN ARCHERY FEDERATION

The President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Pavel Rozhkov met with the President of the Russian Archery Federation, the Olympic bronze medallist Vladimir Esheev at the RPC office.

The participants discussed the issues of archery development among the athletes with physical impairments in Russia, interaction between the Russian Paralympic Committee, Russian Archery Federation and All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, holding of the All-Russian Open Competitions with participation of athletes from foreign countries and junior competitions for the prizes of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, as well as organization and holding of competitions in archery".

Summer Games of Para Athletes "We are together. Sport" will be held from October 2 to 9, 2022 in the city of Sochi (Krasnodar Territory).

The sports program of the Games includes 9 sports: athletics, swimming, table tennis, archery, para-taekwondo, wheelchair fencing, CP football, draughts and chess. Competitions in archery will be held on the basis of the sports complex "Yunost".

Based on the results of performance at the Russian Cup which was held in Ramenskoe (Moscow Region) from July 18th to 23rd, the national team of Russia was formed for the Games. It consisted of 12 athletes. The national teams of the administrative regions of Russia will also take part in the Games.

The Russian Archery Federation will provide sports facilities for competitions in the framework of the Games as well as assist in organization of refereeing.

Andrey Strokin, Secretary General of the RPC and President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, and Viktor Sapunov, Head Coach of the Russian National Para Archery Team and Vice-President of the Russian Federation of Archery took part in the meeting.
