PAVEL ROZHKOV AND BATU KHASIKOV, GOVERNOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF KALMYKIA, DISCUSSED THE DEVELOPMENT OF PARALYMPIC SPORT IN THE REGION AT THE RPC OFFICE
In the office of Russian Paralympic Committee President Pavel Rozhkov and Governor of Kalmykia Batu Khasikov had a meeting.
The head of interdepartmental commission on development of adaptive physical training and sports of the Presidential Council on development of physical training and sports Vladimir Lukin, constant representative of Republic Kalmykia under the President of the Russian Federation Andrey Kartiev and member of RPC Governing Board and Chairman of RPC regional office in Republic Kalmykia Vladimir Bardyshev took part in a meeting.
The Parties discussed the problems and priorities of the development of Paralympic sport in the region, preparation and achievements of the representatives of the Republic at the All-Russian competitions, sports events organized by the RPC, Russian Ministry of Sports and Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, such as the traditional festival of Paralympic sports "Parafest", the All-Russian Spartakiad of Children with Disabilities on sports for persons with disabilities and others.
Pavel Rozhkov showed the guests the Museum of Paralympic sports, told about the history of the Russian Paralympic movement, sports included in the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, medals won by Russian athletes and etc. The Governor of Kalmykia Batu Khasikov also thanked the Russian Paralympic Committee in the Memorable Museum Book.
