MOSCOW TEAM WON THE TEAM CLASSIFICATION OF THE RUSSIAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN SWIMMING AMONG PI ATHLETES KRASNODAR
On March, 13th - 20th the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments organized the Russian Swimming Championship in Krasnodar (Krasnodar region).
There were 188 sportsmen from 34 regions of Russia. The competition was held on the "short water" in the 25-meter pool.
In the team event in the IPC points the Moscow team became the best, having 26736 points in total. The next is the team of the Saratov region, scoring 22621 points. In the third place is the Nizhny Novgorod region team which gained 20874 points.
The capital athletes took the lead in medal counting: 11 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals. Second in the number of gold medals was the team from the Orenburg region, they have 5 gold and 1 silver medal. The Republic of Bashkortostan finalized the top three with 4 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze medals.
The best multimedalists of the competition were: Victoria Ishchiulova (Orenburg region) won 5 gold and 1 silver medal; Bogdan Mozgovoy (Republic of Bashkortostan) became 4-time winner and 5-time silver medalist of the championship; Vladimir Danilenko (St. Petersburg) won 4 gold and 1 silver medal.
