MOSCOW SWIMMERS WON THE RUSSIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS TEAM EVENT IN PARA SWIMMING AMONG PI ATHLETES IN UFA

In the city of Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan), the Russian Swimming Championship, held by the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments ended.

More than 250 athletes from 39 regions of the country took part in the competition at the Sports Training Center named after Rima Batalova.

The team of Moscow won the team competition. The Moscow swimmers scored 25,992 points.

The second place with 23 555 points took representatives of the Altai Territory. The third place - with 21,738 points athletes from the Saratov region.

In terms of the number of medals won, representatives of the city of Moscow again took the first place. They have 86 awards - 32 gold, 31 silver and 23 bronze.

The second place was taken by representatives of the Republic of Bashkortostan - 12 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals.

In third place with 12 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze awards is the team of the Saratov region.

At the competition, 1 world record and 3 European records were exceeded.

Anastasia Oparina from Moscow exceeded the world achievement at a distance of 150 meters in complex swimming in the SM2 class.

Roman Zhdanov (Altai Territory) and Dmitry Chernyaev have surpassed their own European records at a distance of 150 in complex swimming in the SM4 class and 100 meters in breaststroke in the SB4 class, respectively.

Dmitry Chernyaev also exceeded the European record at a distance of 50 meters breaststroke (SB4).

At the Russian Championship, 21 new Russian records were set, and 16 Russian records were exceeded by swimmers who currently do not have an international classification.

Simultaneously with the Russian championship from 5 to 9 April at the Center for Sports Training. Rima Batalova hosted the starts of the Russian Swimming Cup for the sport of the blind.

28 strongest swimmers of Russia from 10 regions entered the start of the competition.

As a result of the competition, the composition of the Russian national swimming team for the sport of persons with Physical Impairments and the sport of the blind was formed to participate in the European Championship 2021, which will be held from May 16 to 22 in Portugal.
