MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE PAVEL ROZHKOV ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DISABLED PERSONS
Every year on December 3, the entire world community celebrates the International Day of Disabled Persons - people of strong spirit, courageous and strong-willed, setting us an example of perseverance in achieving our goals. This day is intended to remind everyone that there are many people with disabilities among us.
Today it is important that every person has a real opportunity to be a full member of society, to study, work, take part in public and political life, and play sports. Many of the people with disabilities, overcoming illnesses and life difficulties, achieve great success in many of these areas of activity.
I express my sincere words of recognition to athletes with disabilities. Paralympic athletes are the clearest example of the fact that human possibilities are endless. Inspired by their victories, thousands of people with disabilities join sports, active leisure, a healthy and active lifestyle, feel in demand and needed. I express my deep gratitude for the noble work to everyone who makes a significant contribution to the development of the national Paralympic movement: coaches, specialists, doctors, medical workers, sports organizers, teachers in the field of adaptive sports and many others.
On this day, accept sincere wishes for good health, success, prosperity and new life achievements.
President of the RPC Pavel Rozhkov
