The President of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) Pavel Rozhkov told "Match TV" that the organization is in constant communication and works with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and international organizations, but there are no specifics on the admission of Russians to international competitions.
Earlier, the IPC did not allow Russians to participate in the Winter Paralympic Games 2022 because of the situation in Ukraine. The team was returning from Beijing on an emergency basis. In April, Rozhkov told Match TV that the RPC and the relevant federations had received notification from the IPC that the Russians were not allowed to compete in virtually all disciplines

Earlier in July, the IPC handed over the management of Paralympic alpine skiing, Paralympic nordic skiing and Para snowboard to the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) and the management of Paralympic biathlon to the International Biathlon Union (IBU). Thus, Para Biathlon will be managed by IBU in collaboration with FIS through a joint steering committee. We need to handle all organizational matters, if not, our boys will be banned from competitions, but they are banned anyway. We are in touch with the IPC, we start the process of transferring the personal data of the athletes, the calendar plan," Rozhkov told Match TV.
