L.P. ABRAMOVA, S.P. EVSEEV, O. V. SEMENOVA IN KRASNOYARSK TAKE PART IN THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE III ALL-RUSSIAN WINTER SPARTAKIAD OF THE DISABLED

Vice President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, President of the Sports Federation of the Blind Lidia Abramova, Vice President of the RPC, President of the All-Russian Sports Federation of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities Sergey Evseev, Vice President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments, 3-time champion of the Paralympic Games Olga Semenova in Krasnoyarsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory) took part in the closing ceremony of the III All-Russian Winter Spartakiad for Disabled People.

The closing ceremony, at which the results of the competition were summed up, took place in the Grand Hall Siberia concert hall.

In the standings of regions where the number of disabled people exceeds 70 thousand people, the first three places were taken by the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra, the Komi Republic and the Tomsk Region. In the category up to 150 thousand people, the Udmurt Republic, Tambov and Vologda regions got on the podium.

Among the regions where the number of people with disabilities exceeds 150 thousand people, the Sverdlovsk region won. Behind it are Moscow and Bashkortostan.

- We showed almost one hundred percent result, won almost all the medals, except that in one race we presented a medal to an opponent, - said the senior coach of the Sverdlovsk region Cross-country skiing team (sport LIN) Yuri Chulkov. - Such competitions are necessary for children to motivate and socialize them. In addition, at the Olympics, the sports reserve of our Paralympic team is visible, and guys clearly have something to strive for.

Participants of the Spartakiad have repeatedly thanked Krasnoyarsk residents for the good organization of the Spartakiad. This aspect was also noted at the highest level.

“I would like to express my gratitude to Governor Alexander Uss for the fact that Krasnoyarsk keeps its reputation in organizing mass events,” said Maxim Urazov, Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Mass Sports of the Ministry of Sports of Russia. - I watched and sent out videos, where the results of each day were summed up - this is a world-class picture, which was made by both the organizers and the participants of the competition. I am sincerely happy that my native Krasnoyarsk is becoming a home for such large-scale events, and I want athletes to come here as often as possible.

The winners and prize-winners of the Spartakiad are just taking their first steps in sports. But it is already worth taking a closer look at them - it is possible that future Paralympic champions began their careers at the Krasnoyarsk facilities.

“I am sure that in the future many participants in our Spartakiad will join the Russian Paralympic and Deaflympic teams,” noted Pavel Rostovtsev, Minister of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. - These guys believed in themselves and realized that sport provides endless opportunities. In general, everyone is happy with the level of organization and our Siberian winter. Moreover, before the start of the Spartakiad, the frosts receded, and the athletes could enjoy the nature and energy of the Yenisei.

The III All-Russian Winter Spartakiad for Disabled People was held in Krasnoyarsk from 2 to 6 March as part of the federal project "Sport is the Norm of Life" of the national project "Demography". In the competition, 173 sets of awards were played in 11 types of programs. Krasnoyarsk athletes won eight medals: three gold, one silver and four bronzes.
