6 GOLD AND 2 SILVER MEDALS WERE WON BY THE RUSSIAN PARA BADMINTON TEAM AT THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS IN MINSK

The Republic of Belarus Open Badminton Championship among athletes with ohysical impairments was held from May 27 to 29 in Minsk.
The matches were held in the multidisciplinary cultural and sports complex "Minsk-Arena".
47 sportsmen from Russia and Belarus fought for the prizes of the tournament. The Russian team consisted of 8 athletes.
The Russian team became the winner of the team event, winning 6 gold and 2 silver medals.
Ilya Pargeev (Chuvash Republic) took first place in men's WH2 class, Yury Stepanov (Chuvash Republic) was second, and Anatoly Gronsky from Belarus got the third place.
Ilya Antonenko (Moscow Region) became the best in SL3 class, the next is Alexander Popov (Republic of Belarus), Alexander Bondar (Republic of Belarus) closes the top three.
Men's SL4 class won Pavel Kulikov (Republic of Tatarstan), Vladimir Stolpetsky (Republic of Belarus) won the silver medal, Nikolay Mokharev (Republic of Belarus) came in third.
Among women in WH2 class gold medal was won by Tatyana Gureeva (Republic of Chuvashia), the second place took Natalia Prokofieva (St. Petersburg), the third was taken by Elena Serpulskaya (Republic of Belarus).
In SU5 class first place was won by Anna Pushkarevskaya (Novosibirsk region), silver went to Natalia Savonevskaya (Republic of Belarus), the third place was taken by Julia Frol (Republic of Belarus).
Vita Vimba (St. Petersburg) is on the top step of the podium in women's SL3 class, the second place went to Irina Mikhailovskaya (Republic of Belarus), the bronze went to Elvira Ostrovskaya (Republic of Belarus).
