5 RUSSIAN RECORDS WERE SET AT THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN PARA POWERLIFTING IN EKATERINBURG

From April 24 to 29 All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Physical Impairments in Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk Region) held a Para Powerlifting Championship.
More than 160 athletes from 36 regions of Russia fought for the championship medals.
At the competition 5 Russian records were set up and exceeded 2 European records:
Irina Sadovnikova (St. Petersburg) in the weight category over 86 kg set a new record of Russia in the second attempt, having lifted a weight of 140 kg, then in the third attempt she broke her own record and exceeded the European record - 144 kg.
Tamara Podpalnaya (Altai Krai) set a national record in the 61 kg category in her third attempt with 120 kg and also surpassed the European record.
Tatyana Zhavoronkova (Nizhny Novgorod Region) in the weight category up to 41 kg twice set the national record, showing the results of 93 and 95 kg.
Tamara Podpalnaya (Altai region) and Vladimir Krivulya (Krasnodar region) became the winners in the absolute championship.
In the team event among women the team of the Kemerovo region became the best. The next are female athletes from the capital. In third place was the team of the Vladimir region.
Among men team of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ugra took the first place. Second place went to the team of Vladimir region. Third place won the team of Moscow.
