4 RUSSIAN ATHLETES WILL TAKE PART IN THE PARASNOWBOARD WORLD CUP IN FINLAND

In Finland, the World Cup in parasnowboard will be held in the ski resort of Pyhya from February 12 to 14.

2 sets of medals in snowboard cross will be awarded at the competition.

The Russian national team consists of 4 athletes:

Vyacheslav Latyshev (Moscow)

Alexey Petrov (KhMAO-Yugra)

Mikhail Slinkin (KhMAO-Yugra)

Alexander Akhmadulin (Moscow Region)

The upcoming competition will be the first and only stage of the Parasnowboard World Cup in the current sports season. Next, the World Cup stage in Spain from February 22 to 24 and the World Cup final in Beijing from March 9 to 19 were planned, which was supposed to be a test competition for the XIII Paralympic Winter Games in 2022.

Para snowboard was included in the program of the XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi as a discipline of alpine skiing. Competitions are held on a snowy track with obstacles. The task of the participants is to overcome the track faster than the opponents.
