4 RECORDS OF RUSSIA AND THE EUROPEAN RECORD WERE RECORDED ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE SWIMMING COMPETITION IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SUMMER GAMES FOR PARA ATHLETES "WE ARE TOGETHER. SPORT"

On October 4 the first competition day in swimming took place in the hotel complex "Grand Hotel Polyana" in Sochi (Krasnodar region).
The total of 110 athletes took part in the heats.
Athletes competed for 14 sets of medals in the women's 400m freestyle and men's 50m freestyle.
Mikhail Evseenko (Moscow) set the European record in the 50m freestyle, S5 class, and set a new Russian record.
Denis Tarasov (Saratov region) set Russian records in the 50m freestyle in the S9 class, Alexey Melnikov (Moscow) in the 50m freestyle in the S6 class, and Anna Bogatyreva (Kurgan region) in the 400m freestyle, also in the S6 class.
Anna Bogareva (Kurgan Region) won the 400m freestyle in the S6 class.
