3 GOLD, 3 SILVER AND 2 BRONZE MEDALS WERE WON BY THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL TEAM IN ALPINE SKIING AT THE SECOND STAGE OF THE IPC WORLD CUP IN AUSTRIA

The second stage of the World Cup in Alpine skiing of the International Paralympic Committee has ended in Salbach-Hinterglem (Austria).

As a result of the competition, the Russian national team won 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

In the discipline" supergiant " gold and silver medals were won by the representative of Moscow and the Sakhalin region Alexey Bugaev

Varvara Voronchikhina (Moscow/Irkutsk region) twice finished second.

The Russian Paralympic Committee congratulates the Russian national team on winning 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals at the end of the second stage of the IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup in Austria and wishes success in the upcoming starts!

Alpine skiing is one of the most medal-intensive sports included in the program of the Winter Paralympic Games. Competitions are held among athletes with a lesion of the musculoskeletal system and visual impairment.

The Russian national team in alpine skiing of persons with PODA at the XII Paralympic Winter Games 2018 in PyeongChang (Republic of Korea) won 1 gold and 1 silver medal. The author of all the awards was the representative of Moscow and the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexey Bugaev.
