Andrey Strokin and Andrey Kirilenko opened the Russian Wheelchair Basketball Championship in Paramonovo

RPC Secretary General Andrey Strokin and President of the Russian Basketball Federation Andrey Kirilenko took part at the Opening Ceremony of the Russian National Wheelchair Basketball Championship in Paramonovo, Moscow Region.

After the Ceremony, Andrey Kirilenko conducted the master-class for wheelchair basketball players.

The competitions will be held from 21 to 27 February with 10 teams participating.

At the first stage of the Championship the team are divided on two groups:

GROUP A

BasKI “Nevskie zvezdy” (St-Petersburg)
Falkon (Moscow)
Volga (Ulyanovsk)
Triumph (Moscow region)
Skala (Dagestan Republic)

GROUP B

Krylya Barsa (Tatarstan Republic)
Shans (Tyumen Region)
Laman Az (Chechen republic)
Legion-Ugra (KhMAO-Ugra)
Lokomotiv (Udmurt Republic)

The games will be played from 22 to 25 February.

Semifinals and bronze and gold medal games will be played on 25-26 February.
