TASS: Russian Paralympic Committee will make a second payment to International Paralympic Committee on October 4.

Moscow – 3 October: Russian Paralympic Committee will make a second payment to International Paralympic Committee on October 4.

The RPC continues its progress payments to the IPC to reimburse the expanses to increase testing program of Russian para athletes and operating of IPC Taskforce for the amount of 257500 Euro. The first payment of €6067,64 was made on September 21.

β€œOn October 4 the RPC will made the following payment in accordance with the originals of financial documents received today that meet international and Russian legislation. The Chairman of the RPC Governing Board, First Vice-President of the RPC Pavel Rozhkov maintains a constant liaison with and IPC Chief Operating Officer Mike Peters in order to make all payments as soon as possible – RPC.

The IPC suspended the RPC membership on the eve of 2016 Rio Paralympic Games following publication of the Professor McLaren Report which claimed 35 doping samples involving Russian Paralympic athletes between 2012 and 2015 were covered-up in 28 Paralympic sports.

On August 2, 2016 during the hearings in the IPC the information about 35 names of athletes were received. As it turns out, 15 samples belong to deaflympic and non-paralympic sports and 20 samples belong to Paralympic sports. Regarding these 15 samples the necessary disciplinary investigations were conducted and all appropriate sanctions imposed in accordance with anti-doping rules violations.

Regarding 5 samples there are no any detailed information regarding anti-doping rules violations so far.

On September 20 the World Anti-Doping Agency reinstated the Russian Anti-Doping Agency.
