Russian para swimmers successfully took part in Singapore
From 10 to 12 May, 2019 World Para Swimming World Series were held in Singapore
The Singapore competition was the first in which Russian athletes participated since the RPC membership in IPC was restored, and these competitions are qualifying for the 2019 World Cup and the 16th Paralympic Summer Games of 2020 in Tokyo.
Russian athletes won 4 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals. The largest number of awards was won by Valeria Shabalina (Chelyabinsk region) - she won 2 gold and 2 silver medals.
GOLDEN AWARDS
Andrei Kalina (St. Petersburg) won gold in the 100 meters breaststroke
Valeria Shabalina (Chelyabinsk region) won the gold medal in the butterfly race at a distance of 100 meters
In the freestyle at a distance of 200 meters, the gold medal won Valeria Shabalina
Roman Zhdanov (Altai Territory) won the gold medal in the 50 meters breaststroke
SILVER AWARDS
In the competition on the back at a distance of 100 meters, the silver award was won by Valeria Shabalina
Roman Zhdanov won the silver medal in freestyle 200m
In a mixed style at a distance of 200 meters, Valeria Shabalina won the silver award
In the butterfly race at a distance of 50 meters, the silver award was won by Ani Palyan (Republic of Crimea)
BRONZE AWARDS
Vyacheslav Yemelyantsev (Sverdlovsk region) won a bronze medal in the 100m back competition.
Maria Pavlova (Moscow) won the bronze medal in freestyle at a distance of 400 meters
Andrey Granichka (city of Sevastopol) won a bronze medal in freestyle at a distance of 400 meters
In the butterfly 50m bronze medal won by Andrei Granichka
Roman Zhdanov won a bronze medal in the 50 m backstroke competition.
