Russian athletes competed at 5th Turkish Para-Badminton International

The 5th Turkish Para-Badminton International (ENESCUP 2019) was held in Antalya (Turkey) from March 25 to April 1

The tournament was attended by 278 para-badminton players from 41 countries, who played 22 sets of medals.

According to the results of the competition, Irina Borisova (Arkhangelsk Region, SS6) won the silver medal in the individual competition and bronze medals in the mixed and pair competition.

In the semifinals, Irina defeated Maria Bartusz with a score of 21-13, 21-15, and in the final match she lost to Oliwia Szmigiel / 20-22, 21-12, 21-16

In the women's doubles (WD SS6) Irina Borisova, in a pair with St. Petersburg representative Ulyana Podpalna, won bronze medals.

In a mixed event (XD SS6) Irina competing with Canadian Wyatt Lightfoot shared bronze awards with a pair from United States and Poland. The winners in this class were the representatives of Brazil and Poland, and the silver awards went to India and Poland.

Konstantin Afinogenov won a bronze medal in the mixed in the class XD WH1-WH2 with the Turkish female athlete Emin Seikin. All other places on the podium were taken by the representatives of China.

Immediately after the end of the competition in Turkey, the Russian national team will head to the international tournament in the UAE - 2nd Fazza-Dubai Para-Badminton International 2019, in which 273 athletes will take part.
