RUSSIAN TEAM WON 3 SILVER AND 2 BRONZE MEDALS ON THE FINAL DAY OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN IPC ATHLETICS IN DUBAI

The World Athletics Championships held by the International Paralympic Committee were held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from November 7 to 15.

 

On the final day of the competition, the Russian national team won 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

 

Khetag Khinchagov (North Ossetia-Alania, long jump, T38), Svetlana Krivenok (Bryansk region / city of St. Petersburg, shot put, F33) and Artyom Kalashyan (Bryansk region / city of St. Petersburg, won the second step of the podium) 100 m, T35).

 

The bronze prize-winners of the competition were Dmitry Safronov (Nizhny Novgorod Region, 100 m, T35) and Nikita Prokhorov (Samara Region, shot put, F46).

 

As a result of 9 days of the championship, Russian athletes won 10 gold, 16 silver and 15 bronze medals and took 6th place in the team event. A total of 37 athletes from the Russian team climbed the podium.

 

The winners of the medal standings were representatives of China, on their account 25 gold, 23 silver and 11 bronze medals.
