Anton Kulyatin and Aleksander Yaremchuk won silver medals on the first day of the IPC World Championships in Para Athletics.

The representative of the Novosibirsk region Anton Kulyatin and the athlete of the Arkhangelsk region Aleksander Yaremchuk became silver medalists on the first day of the World Para Athletics championships, held in Dubai, (UAE).

Anton Kulyatin showed a second time in the 1,500 – meter race in Class T13 among athletes with visual impairments – 3:47.91. Gold medal won the Australian athlete (3:47.78) and the bronze medal won a runner from Algeria.

Aleksander Yaremchuk also became the second in the in the running distance of 1,500 meters in the Class T46 among the athletes with physical impairments, losing 4 seconds to an athlete from Bulgaria. The third was an athlete from Ethiopia. Alexander’s time is 3:54.40.

The Russian Paralympic Committee congratulates the Russian National Para Athletics Team on winning two silver medals on the first day of the IPC World Championships in Dubai.
