The IPC General assembly will consider the issue of the Russian Paralympic Committee's membership in the international organization

A delegation of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) headed by the organization's president Pavel Rozhkov has arrived in Bahrain to participate in the General assembly of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). This was reported to TASS in the press service of the RPC.
The conference of the IPC member organizations will be held on September 27. The IPC General Assembly will be held in Bahrain on September 28-29. The issue of membership of the Russian organization in the International Paralympic Committee will be considered on September 29.
"The delegation of the Russian Paralympic Committee headed by the President of the RPC Pavel Rozhkov arrived in Bahrain to participate in the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee. As part of the trip, a meeting with the president of the National Paralympic Committee of Bahrain is planned", - reported in the press service of the RPC.
In 2022, Russian athletes were to take part in the Paralympics in Beijing, but due to the situation in Ukraine, the IPC decided not to allow them to compete. On November 16, 2022, the IPC suspended the membership of the Russian Paralympic Committee at an extraordinary general assembly. In December, the RPC filed an appeal against this decision with the Appeals Tribunal, which was satisfied.
