SOCHI HOSTED AN INSPECTION VISIT TO THE FACILITIES INVOLVED IN THE INTERNATIONAL COMPLEX SPORT COMPETITIONS "SUMMER GAMES FOR PARA ATHLETES "WE ARE TOGETHER. SPORT".
From 8 to 9 September in Sochi (Krasnodar Region) an inspection visit of the facilities involved in the International Complex Sport Competitions "Summer Games for Para Athletes "We are together. Sport" was held.
In inspection visit took part the Chairperson of the Governing Board and the first vice-president of RPC Artem Toropchin, the Secretary General of RPC, 5-time champion of Paralympic Games Andrey Strokin, the Vice-president of RPC, 3-time champion of Paralympic Games Olga Semenova, representatives of the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Federal management of the organization and carrying out of sports and physical activities, the Center of sports preparation of Russia national teams, the Emergency Control Ministry of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
International complex sport competitions "Summer Games for Para Athletes "We are together. Sport" will be held in Sochi from 2 to 9 October.
The sports program of the Games includes 9 sports. The competition will take place at the sports venues of the Southern Federal Sports Training Center "Yug-Sport" (athletics, table tennis, fencing, CP Football, taekwondo), sports complex "Yunost" (draughts, chess, archery) and the hotel complex "Grand Hotel Polyana" (swimming).
The Chief Referee Board has received applications from teams from Belarus, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Germany, Mali, and 78 other regions of Russia.
Over 1 800 people will take part in the competitions, 170 of which will be representatives of foreign countries and more than 1 000 will be Russian athletes.
