PAVEL ROZHKOV TOOK PART IN THE BELGOROD SEMI MARATHON RACE

On August 28, the Belgorod Semi Marathon athletics race was held in Belgorod.
The President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Pavel Rozhkov, the Governor of Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov and the Governor of Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha addressed the participants with welcoming words.
In the framework of the marathon there was a race for children with disabilities called "One Kilometer of Possibilities".
Pavel Rozhkov, six-time Paralympic champion in cross-country skiing Sergei Shilov and world champion in shooting Andrey Kozhemyakin took off together with the children.
Pavel Rozhkov and titled Paralympic athletes handed out commemorative medals to the participants at the finish line.
More than 7000 participants - the strongest athletes of Russia, Paralympic athletes, sport fans and supporters of a healthy lifestyle from different regions of the country came to the start of the semi marathon.
The sports program included the races for 5, 10 and 21 kilometers.
The start took place on Belgorod's Cathedral Square and ran along a new certified by international standards AIMS route - the historical part and the picturesque streets in the heart of the city.
Alexander Yaremchuk, the Paralympic Games champion in Tokyo, finished the 10 km run with the third best result.
The semi marathon prize fund amounted to 1 500 000 rubles - 28 prizes for both men and women:
5 km - 20, 10 and 5 thousand for the first, second and third place respectively;
10 km - 80, 40 and 20 thousand for first, second and third place respectively;
21.1 km - 250, 130, 90, 50 and 20 thousand rubles for first to fifth place respectively.
